About Custom Gift Finder

About Custom Gift Finder

Independent gift guides built around real shopping decisions: recipient, occasion, budget, timing, and whether the pick feels worth giving.

Custom Gift Finder is a small, independent gift-guide site founded and edited by Shelzy Perkins. It exists to make one common job faster: finding a gift that fits a specific person, occasion, and budget, with personalized and custom options front and center.

Who Runs the Site

Shelzy Perkins researches, curates and edits every guide. Her work is research and curation: comparing listings, specifications, personalization options, shipping windows and verified buyer feedback. She does not physically test products unless a guide says so. The full standards are in our editorial policy.

What We Do

We publish gift guides organized by recipient, occasion, and budget. Each guide narrows a large category down to a short list, explains who each pick suits, and links to where you can check the current price and personalization options.

How Guides Are Made

We want to be plain about this, because it affects how much weight you should give our picks:

  • Research, not lab testing. Picks are based on retailer listings, product specifications, personalization options, and patterns in buyer reviews. We do not physically test products unless a guide specifically says so.
  • AI-assisted drafting. We use AI tools to help research and draft guides. Guides are then checked and revised, and we correct product links, dates, and details when our own checks or readers find problems.
  • No invented scores or prices. We do not publish star ratings or numeric scores we did not measure. We do not list fixed prices for Amazon products; the retailer page always has the current price.

The full process is on the How We Pick page.

How the Site Makes Money

Many product links are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, Custom Gift Finder earns from qualifying purchases. We do not accept payment for placement, and brands cannot buy a spot in a guide. Details are on the Affiliate Disclosure page.

Corrections

If a link is broken, a product has changed, or something on a page is wrong, use the Contact page. Fixing errors is part of how the guides get better.
